In SharePoint 2010 ,For configure search in only for specific Document Library following are the steps to follow:
In Your web application, click on Site
Actions > Site Settings > Site Collection Administration > Search
Scopes > Create New Scope named as “TestlibraryScope”
Add new rule in “TestlibraryScope”
scope and give full address of Document library in folder option and click “OK”
as illustrated in the image below:
In Your web application, click on Site Actions > Site Settings > Site Collection Administration > Search Scopes > Create New Scope named as “TestlibraryScope”
Create two new pages named as “AdvanceSearch.aspx”
and “Search.aspx”.
Drop Advance Search web part in “AdvanceSearch.aspx”
page.
Edit Advance Search web part, expand “Miscellaneous“
heading and set “Result URL” to “Pages/ Search.aspx”
Drop Search Box web part and Search
Core Results web part in “Search.aspx”.
Edit Search Box web part and set properties
accordingly as illustrated below:
Edit Search Core Results web part, set
Scope property to “TestLibrary” and click “OK”
Open page “AdvanceSearch.aspx” then search something .search only show result of Selected Document library
Open page “AdvanceSearch.aspx” then search something .search only show result of Selected Document library
